Porn Addiction in young generations

Teens becoming addicted to pornography may seem like an unusual scenario, yet it happens more frequently than you might imagine. Too many teenagers succumb to a fixation that once only affected a small percentage of adults due to the accessibility of pornographic content online and peer pressure to check it out. You might be right to not be overly concerned if you discovered your kid watching porn and put it down to inexperience and hormones. On the other hand, you should be aware that teen porn addiction is a real problem and can have serious consequences.

Teenagers now have more access to pornography than ever because to high-speed Internet and internet savvy. They don't need to steal a video from a friend's dad or steal a magazine from a store. Teenagers may easily access porn on their phones and tablets, and much of it is free. Porn addiction may seem improbable, but it does occur and is increasingly affecting young people. Teenagers are more susceptible than adults are to developing addictions and suffering long-term psychological harm as a result of exposure to pornography. Teenage porn addiction can disrupt and distort the still-developing brains of teenagers. Some teenagers who struggled with their porn addiction even developed erectile problems.

Teenagers who are exposed to porn frequently are probably having their first sex in this way. They are learning about sexuality from the screen and the fantasy world of porn instead of experiencing it firsthand. It distorts how these young people perceive what sex, closeness, and love are actually like in relationships in the real world. When the teens grow up and become adults, this could lead to relationship issues. Because it is readily accessible online, how kids perceive modern pornography is even more harmful than in the past. It is more isolated and can result in obsession and addiction more quickly. Online porn addiction in teens can cause feelings of isolation, shame, and confusion.

The intensity of most online porn is more likely to cause addiction than traditional print or video media. Teenage girls can develop a porn addiction, although it most frequently affects boys. Pornography addiction treatment programs give teenagers a way to obtain support and undo the harm that pornographic media has caused. Asking for treatment is difficult for anybody struggling with an addiction of any kind, but it may be especially embarrassing for a teen addicted to porn. When they believe there is a serious issue with pornography, parents must take responsibility for keeping an eye on their children's internet behavior and speaking up. To give that kid a new lease on life and the chance to forge healthy adult connections, getting counseling is crucial.

Blame it on the ease with which "evil content" can be accessed on cell phones, but young people, especially kids, are becoming more aggressive and violent, which leads them to engage in child abuse, including kidnapping, molestation, and sexual assault. Experts in child psychology are worried about the growing porn addiction among youngsters.

The shame element about porn addiction is huge. But if we remove the shame and talk about it maybe we can help many people.

“When I was young, there was no internet it was pretty hard to get an access to porn. I remember I had to put a lot of effort into being able to watch porn on VHS tapes. And still with all these limitations, I managed to get myself addicted”.

“I only could imagine how hard it is with internet on every single smart phone. It is estimated that 90% of young children have seen porn online. It is just no longer Google or YouTube. It’s also on all of the websites that gains hundreds and millions of views every single day. 45 billions visits to Porn hub in the year 2021 and that are dangerous for the kids like me from the past who starts watching crazy sex videos too early.”

“I wish someone would have helped me, not just as a teenager but also as an adult. Porn is certainly like a bad diet. When you first start eating all the fast food burgers and drinking sweet cold drinks, you feel good, it gives you some kind of happiness but before you it all these junk foods, it starts sucking the life out of you. You feel more tired, less motivated, less healthy, your self esteem falls lower and worst of all the longer you eat junk food, the harder it gets to switch your eating habits to the good one, salads will seem like a punishment. And that’s exactly the thing that happened to me for many years”.

“I didn’t have any idea that porn was bad for me and it took me a long time to realize the truth about how porn was made. For 10 minutes short videos shot over few hours. Fake orgasm women with plenty of make ups and lightening to make them look absolutely perfect. Carefully selected men. I didn’t know it was all reality on steroids and worst part was that the longer I watched porn for, the more extreme I wanted to be. My addiction led me to see some of the darkest human desire. It started sucking life out of me. I didn’t want to keep watching it but I couldn’t stop and it wasn’t easy to open up about it. Even the sex education at school decided to totally ignore the subject of porn”.

Please don’t shy from talking about sex in your home because if you make it a taboo, your kids will use porn sites as their main teacher and that’s a bad idea……

Porn can be good for some adults but there is nothing right in porn, if it starts at the young age and ends up being the first real addiction to millions and millions of people all across the world and that’s why despite of the shame I decided to open up because I know it can help. There are many problems that we can see but this problem of porn we cannot see because everyone hides it. It times that we remove the shame and talk about it to our friends, our family and our children because it’s the only way we can remove the stigma and help each other understand the dark side of porn addiction.

The dark side of pleasure

According to child psychologists, minors who frequently watch porn exhibit violent behavior. Additionally, teenagers frequently exhibit deviant traits including wrath, sadism, perversion, sexual coercion, and pure sexual enjoyment. The psychologists blamed parental neglect and easy access to pornographic websites for the spike in sexual offenses.
